Elvis Presley was a very influential man. During his time of fame, not many white citizens listened to black music because racism and segregation were still a big issue. However, Presley had a big impact on many viewpoints of black music artists and groups by introducing this genre to many who were interested in his own music. With Presley being one of the biggest rock and roll figures in history, millions of people looked up to him and his morals. His provocative way of dancing lead to creating an entirely new generation. People of all ages fell in love with his hip winging, pelvic thrusting moves. Elvis made freedom of expression possible and influenced his fans to do the same and speak their mind on anything, especially on segregation at the time. Presley changed the music industry forever and left a long lasting legacy with a positive message which will continue for generations and many more generations.
