According to this source, he was apparently horrified and nervous about a book that was published by his ex-bodyguards about his drug abuse on August 12, 1977. Only four days after he was announced dead from an overdose on drugs.

This is a secondary source because it is a biography about Elvis’ life. This helps us understand the project better because the story could have had something to do with the decisions Elvis made and could have made him so horrified and have been the reason he overdosed.
secondary source (11) Elvis lived his life of passion for music and what he was best at. His fans absolutely adored him and even had “Elvis Presley Days” in many cities. Elvis’ favorite place to perform was Las Vegas and he had many singles like “In the Ghetto”, “Suspicious Minds”, “Don’t Cry Daddy”, and “The Wonder of You.”

This source is significant in terms of learning about Elvis because being inducted and drafted into the army is mentally, emotionally, and physically a huge deal and it’s interesting to learn about this in case it impacted his life in other ways somehow.

Presley had a big impact on many viewpoints of black music artists and groups by introducing this genre to many who were interested in his own music. His provocative way of dancing lead to creating an entirely new generation. People of all ages fell in love with his hip winging, pelvic thrusting moves.
