Elvis’ last performance was in Indianapolis on June 25, 1977. According to a source, he was apparently horrified and nervous about a book that was published by his ex-bodyguards about his drug abuse on August 12, 1977. Only four days after he was announced dead from an overdose on drugs.
In an autopsy and record of Presley's last hours on Earth, it's recorded that he had gone to the dentist during the day and had prescription medications, but kept on asking for more and more packages of the pills. Later on, Presley finally went to the bathroom with a book in his hand and his girlfriend Ginger at the time reminded him not to fall asleep in the bathroom. His last words were, “Okay, I won’t.” Afterwards, his girlfriend found him on the ground unresponsive and was taken to the hospital and was announced dead on August 16th, 1977.
Elvis Presley's legacy moves on and on and his ex-wife stepped in and helped establish a foundation called Graceland that is now a multi-millionaire establishment.
